Our newly added Frontier Homestead will be open for viewing from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM Daily. Patrons are invited to walk around the Homestead Grounds as well as view the interiors of the original hand hewed log cabins. The main cabin was originally located on Loretta's property while the smaller of the two was acquired from Dr. James Ralph back in 1985. A variety of horse drawn equipment is on display in addition to a vast collection of tools and other items used in the late 1800's. The larger cabin is the main living quarters while the smaller cabin houses the cooking area and tool room. Both cabins are completely furnished for your viewing pleasure.

There are over four hundred pre-1900 items on display at the Frontier Homestead. Broad Axes, Wooden Pitch Forks, ADZ, Draw Knives, Wooden Mallets, Saddles, Saws, Augers, Cook Stove, Churns, Fruit Press, assortment of Cast Iron Cookware, Crocks, Rockers, Bath Tub, Beaver, Coyote, Fox, & Mink Pelts, Fly Rod & Creel, Clothing, Dolls, Old Marbles, Vintage Pictures, 1895 Bible, and many more antique items are on display for viewing.
