Loretta Lynn Featured Grammy Week!

TN — Excitedly anticipating the 47th Annual Grammy Awards
next Sunday, music icon Loretta Lynn is featured on multiple
national TV shows in the coming week including tonight on
CNN's Anderson Cooper 360 (Feb. 8, 7:00 pm EST), CBS's 60
Minutes (Feb. 9, 8:00 pm EST) and TV Guide Channel (Feb. 10,
1:57 pm and 5:57 pm EST). The recipient of the BMI Icon
honor and two Americana Music Awards, Lynn’s year has been
filled with accolades, adulation and acclaim as she saw the
release of her Van Lear Rose CD nominated for the
prestigious Shortlist Music Prize and top many critics’
lists of Best Albums of 2004.
Additionally, Lynn is confirmed to make her first guest
appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show (Feb. 14, check local
listings) to promote her recently released cookbook, You're
Cookin' It Country [Rutledge Hill Press]. For the special
Valentine’s Day themed show, Lynn plans to prepare one of
her favorite sweet treats - Peanut Butter Fudge.
On the heels of her Feb. 4 USA Today profile, the Country
Music Hall of Famer is also included in Grammy Awards
coverage on CMT’s Insider Grammy Report (Feb. 10, 8:30 pm
EST) and featured in the next issue of Time Out New York
(Feb. 10 issue).
Receiving the most nominations of any artist in the country
genre, Lynn is up for five Grammy Awards this year – Country
Album of the Year [Van Lear Rose], Best Female Country Vocal
Performance [“Miss Being Mrs.”], Best Country Collaboration
With Vocals [“Portland Oregon” - a duet with producer Jack
White] and Best Country Song [“Miss Being Mrs.” and
“Portland, Oregon”]. The 47th Annual Grammy Awards will
broadcast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on
Sunday, February 13 on CBS at 8:00 pm EST.
