Ivan Cancels Loretta!

Due to Hurricane Ivan, Loretta's concert in Kinder, LA on September 18 was cancelled. Loretta will return to the road  for shows in Madisonville, KY and Cherokee, NC.

You can literally take a walk in Loretta's shoes! She has donated an autographed picture and her shoes from her Van Lear Rose photo shoot to raise money for Tim McGraw's Swampstock charity event.

Tim McGraw has partnered with CMTauctions.com for the Swampstock 2004 online charity auction, which began September 7th. All profits from the Swampstock 2004 charity online auction will benefit some of Tim's favorite hometown charities in the Rayville, Louisiana area.

Nomination to the Long List is the first step towards the 2004 Shortlist Music Prize, presented by XM Satellite Radio and MTV2. More!

Loretta Lynn was a part of "Vanity Fair's" annual Music Issue, which will arrive on newsstands in September. For the first time in the history of "Vanity Fair," the magazine is also including a CD Sampler for their subscribers as well as their newsstand issues. The CD includes tracks from artists VF feels have some of the best music of 2004. They chose "Mrs. Leroy Brown" from Loretta’s album Van Lear Rose. Other artists on the sampler include Ryan Adams, Beck and the Jayhawks.
